help?

So, if you read my WG post a few weeks ago you know the only think I care more about than books are sports. Northeastern University sports to be specific. Well tonight, my beloved hockey team lost the Beanpot Championship game in devastating fashion.

The Beanpot is like the Superbowl/World Series/Be-all End-all of college hockey. So with this loss I have slipped in to a major depression. I can't make myself read and I just want to watch the episode of Grey's Anatomy where Denny dies and have a good cry. (I am only slightly exaggerating here, I really am that into sports and my job.)

So here I am depressed about hockey and totally lacking the motivation to finish Sloppy Firsts, which I have been really enjoying. So any one out there have any tips for cheering up? How do you cope with major losses? And I apologize to those of you who have more serious problems than this, but in my world, this is pretty serious.

I am going to leave you with a Grey's Anatomy quote that explains how I will feel for a few days.

I just need something to happen, I need a sign that things are going to change. I need a reason to go on. I need some hope! And in the absence of hope, I need to stay in bed a feel like I'm going to die today.

Basketball on Wednesday?

I totally understand how you feel, but remember, now we are pissed off and want that national championship more than ever.

Wish I was there to give you a hug or some good ole Christina/Meredith traditional dance off.

Hmmm - I guess this would be a bad time to encourage you to read our Thursday 13 post later this week all about the Beanpot and how it should really be called the B.U. invitational?

yeah that wasn't really the help I was looking for Bumbles. really appreciate it though. I am however, back on my feet today and ready to finish the regular season and take the HEA title. NU is still in first place in the conference...ahead of BU

Well - at least my Dewey Teaser gave you a little smile - trash talking makes me feel guilty. That said - looking forward to another beatdown in the conference playoffs and beyond ;0)
