Cross My Heart and Hope To Spy by Ally Carter

Summary:
Cammie Morgan may have a genius IQ and attend the best school in the country, but as she starts the spring semester of her sophomore year there are a lot of things she doesn't know. Like will her ex-boyfriend even remember she exists? And how much trouble did she really get in last semester? And, most of all, exactly why is her mother acting so strangely?

All Cammie wants is a nice, normal semester, but she's about to learn her greatest lesson yet—that when you go to a school for spies, nothing is ever as it seems.

Review:
When I read the first book in the Gallagher Girls series, I'd Tell You I'd Love You But Then I'd Have To Kill You, I like the book but I felt like there was so much more about the characters and their world that I wanted to know and it left me a little frustrated. In the comments Cat @ Beyond Books told me she thought the books got better as the series went on and it gave me the optimism I needed to jump in to the second in the series.

Well, let me say Cat right. The second book picked up right where the first left off and added to the depth of the characters in exactly the way I wanted. I got more of Cammie, Bex, Macey and Liz and a brand new character of Zach who I adored.

Cross My Heart also gave me more details about the world of the Gallagher Girls school that I really wanted. The school seems like such a fun and magical place and any details about it made me very happy.

I like the addition of Zach to the book as well, a male, teenage spy makes everything more interesting and he is mysterious and entertaining.

I really enjoyed Cross My Heart and seriously encourage everyone to read this series, I am getting ready to start the third book, Don't Judge A Girl By Her Cover and I can't wait.

Always listen to your elders, we're usually right.(ha!)

I am so happy you enjoyed the second one more! I was iffy about the first one, too. It was fun, but something was missing - and that was it! More about the SCHOOL.

There's something about the school itself that gives me this little thrill of excitement as we discover more about it, just like with Hogwarts in Harry Potter. If only schools in real life were this interesting! I might haved like going more.;)
